Our Mission
The Center for Men and Boys in Social Policy works with policy makers, service providers and community leaders to help them further their missions. We do this in partnership by articulating an enlightened, progressive male point of view in social, physical health and mental health services, community life and public policy. We hold this as an essential requirement for achieving fairness and respect between women and men, healthy families and strong communities.
Our Vision
The Center for Men and Boys in Social Policy works toward a society in which all people, including men and boys, are free from sex-based stereotypes, prejudices and restrictions. In such a society we see men participating energetically in building, maintaining and protecting the health of their families and communities. We see boys preparing themselves happily and confidently for a full range of opportunities for fulfillment and happiness. We envision the day that men will no longer be defined or define themselves as economic beings and will therefore participate healthfully and enthusiastically in a vibrant economy serving a just, generous and caring society that encourages and assists all its members to balance the demands of their work and personal lives.
