Teen Pregnancy
Program directors in a nationwide study of how to involve boys in combating teen pregnancy urged that boys be addressed in positive, empowering terms, rather than with blame and charges of irresponsibility.
The Center for Men and Boys in Social Policy will help you examine your agency’s approach to combating teen pregnancy and the assumptions that underlie it. Rather than accepting the ready notion that sex is something girls “give” and boys “get” we will invite boys and young men, perhaps for the first time in their lives, to consider whether sex is really worth what they give up to get it and the problems it can cause afterward.
